Paraty Beach Adventure

Explore some of the best beaches on the Green Coast from one of the most remote fishing villages on the Juatinga Peninsular Eco-reserve. On these trips, after one night in the colonial town of Paraty, we stay in a car-free fishing village, only accessible by trail or sea, for one or two nights. Although located mid-way between two of the largest cities in South America, the village often feels as though it has been forgotten in time. Surrounded by wild and unspoilt Atlantic Rainforest and without mains electricity the local Caiçara fishing people continue to live off the sea.

All in all the perfect escape from big city living!

Hiking in Brazil - Juatinga Eco-Reserve

On ‘The Crossing’ we take you well and truly off the beaten track on Brazil's Green Coast, south of Rio de Janeiro. This stunning and original 7 day coastal hike on Rainforest trails across the Juatinga Peninsular Eco-reserve starts and finishes in the colonial town of Paraty.

We spend the days walking between some of the best tropical beaches in Brazil, overnighting in remote fishing villages, before finishing up kayaking out through Brazil’s only tropical fjord, the Saco do Mamangua.

This unique combination of adventure, nature and culture is Brazil at its wild and beautiful best!
