2011 was our busiest FLIP ever with boat tours for many of the authors and, of course, the David Byrne Bike tour.

Before the main event Paraty Explorer will be running "The Big FLIP-ping Adventure" for book-lovers who love the Outdoors!!!
Adventure dates: Sunday 3rd July to Wednesday 6th July (4 days/ 3 nights)
For FLIP 2011 Paraty Explorer plans to literally take you off the literary beaten track on a 4 day trip through the Atlantic Rainforest and along the Costa Verde arriving in Paraty by boat on the first day of the festival.
We'll pass through the Saco do Mamanga, Brazil's only tropical fjord (and scenario for the movie 'Twighlight: Breaking Dawn') staying at the home of Paulo Nogara, local biologist and author of the book 'Mamangua: Marine Nursery and Caiçara Stronghold'.
Trip includes 1 night in Paraty (Sunday 3rd) and 2 nights in Mamangua tropical fjord.
This hiking and canoeing trip will be an action-packed alternative literary experience.
