Rick was a big chap and a great paddler. Maybe not that quick but he had enormous endurance and could just keep going and going like a tractor.

Rick was the pioneer of sea kayaking in Paraty. A man before his time. And we owe him our thanks for blazing the paddling trail in Paraty.
Almost 13 years later and the sea kayaking is now arguably the top thing to do in Paraty for gringos. And we´re even starting to see more and more Brazilians getting into sea kayaking.
After all, there is no better way to escape the boat-tripping crowds and explore the tropical islands and deserted sandy beaches in the bay.
