Special mention went to the FLIP literary festival, the Jazz festival and the photograpy festival.

The Carnival mud procession and the Cachaça festival didnt get a mention. Cant think why not...

Or did they?
Isle Esme is of course a fictional place.
The movie was actually filmed on location in Paraty, Brazil, or more specifically at a beachfront house in Saco do Mamangua (beach pictured below), and at a waterfall in Taquari.
