Edward and Bella went to the tropical island of Isle Esme in Brazil for their honeymoon.
Or did they?
Isle Esme is of course a fictional place.
The movie was actually filmed on location in Paraty, Brazil, or more specifically at a beachfront house in Saco do Mamangua (beach pictured below), and at a waterfall in Taquari.
Paraty Explorer runs hiking day trips up the peak above the luxury honeymoon house (in photos above) for spectacular views of the house and surrounding area. We also run paddling trips (SUP and kayaking) on the calm waters of the tropical fjord in front of the movie location.

At least that's what we think. Congratulations to all involved - Cairuçu Association and SOS Mata Atlantica. This has to be the best map we've seen of the region.
