Paraty Explorer shows Sunday Times journalist a good time on the Costa Verde
Things to do in Paraty: The Sunday Times in the UK recommends Paraty Explorer for "treks to the top of Mamangua Sugarloaf and down the Gold Trail as well as sea kayaking, paddle boarding and beach excursions".
Here's a great little article on 4 things to do in Paraty, tipped by the Wall Street Journal, which include our Stand Up Paddle trips and Gold Trail hikes.
Nice photo of Paraty Explorer's very own pinup boy, Rodrigo, in the surf as well!
Edward and Bella went to the tropical island of Isle Esme in Brazil for their honeymoon.
Or did they?
Isle Esme is of course a fictional place.
The movie was actually filmed on location in Paraty, Brazil, or more specifically at a beachfront house in Saco do Mamangua (beach pictured below), and at a waterfall in Taquari.
Paraty Explorer runs hiking day trips up the peak above the luxury honeymoon house (in photos above) for spectacular views of the house and surrounding area. We also run paddling trips (SUP and kayaking) on the calm waters of the tropical fjord in front of the movie location.
Paraty Explorer's thrilling Canyoning trip finishes in the waterfall pool where they kiss. Check out the rappel and zipline photos into the pool in the following photos:
Are you a fan of the Twilight movies?
Do you want to visit the filming locations in Brazil?
Then get in touch with Paraty Explorer and ask about our Isle Esme tours!
Map of Juatinga Peninsular and Paraty
At least that's what we think. Congratulations to all involved - Cairuçu Association and SOS Mata Atlantica. This has to be the best map we've seen of the region.

ok, so we're biased but we think Matt got it right and no mistake on his sun-drenched days in Paraty. Sea kayaking, the Mamangua Sugarloaf peak hike and the best calimari ever...click here for more of his multi-sport adventure in Brazil blog. Nice one, Matt!
