_Great news for Paraty as it makes the NY Times list of places to go as the most culturally rich destination on the Costa Verde. Special mention went to the FLIP literary festival, the Jazz festival and the photograpy festival.

The Carnival mud procession and the Cachaça festival didnt get a mention. Cant think why not...

Paraty Explorer offers tours of the filming locations for the Twilight saga movie: Breaking Dawn

'Fans' of the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn celebrated the launch of the movie with a day's canynoning on filming locations near Paraty-RJ. / 'Fãns' da Saga Crepúsculo: Amanhecer comemoraram o lançamento do filme com um dia de canionismo onde foram gravados cenas perto do Paraty.

November has been a big month for SUP in the news in Brazil

Edward and Bella went to the tropical island of Isle Esme in Brazil for their honeymoon.
Or did they?
Isle Esme is of course a fictional place.
The movie was actually filmed on location in Paraty, Brazil, or more specifically at a beachfront house in Saco do Mamangua (beach pictured below), and at a waterfall in Taquari.

Paraty Explorer runs hiking day trips up the peak above the luxury honeymoon house (in photos above) for spectacular views of the house and surrounding area. We also run paddling trips (SUP and kayaking) on the calm waters of the tropical fjord in front of the movie location.
